GIVE OUR CHILDREN THE BEST  -  RE-ELECT JUDGE PAT HESS

Hess announces bid to seek re-election as judge

CLINTON - Anderson County Juvenile Court Judge Pat Hess is seeking a fourth term.

Hess, of Clinton, announced this week she is seeking nomination in the May 2 Democratic primary.

Hess, 46, has served on the Anderson County bench for more than 18 years.

Now in her third term, she previously worked as juvenile court referee and judicial commissioner.

"Of all the elected positions, experience counts in the position of Juvenile Court judge,'' Hess said.

A former high school science teacher, Hess returned to the University of Tennessee and received her law degree in 1984.

Before she was hired as juvenile court referee, she was in private practice.

Throughout her career, Hess said she's been involved in programs to help children and families. She has also served on several nonprofit boards.

Hess has two children.
